The National Medical Products Administration convenes a national symposium on the planning and formulation of drug development during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

On August 28, the national meeting on the planning and formulation of the "15th Five-Year Plan" for drugs was held in Beijing. The meeting emphasized the need to conduct in-depth research to propose the overall development ideas for drug regulation during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period; to improve the drug safety responsibility system, enhance the entire chain supervision mechanism, refine the law enforcement and case handling mechanism, and achieve a high level of drug safety; to comprehensively deepen the reform of the drug evaluation and approval system, promote the inheritance and innovation development of traditional Chinese medicine, accelerate the innovation and development of high-end medical devices, deepen the reform of the cosmetics evaluation and approval mechanism, and promote high-quality development; to improve the regulatory system of laws and standards, strengthen technical support and capacity building, adhere to information technology leadership, build a high-quality drug regulatory talent team, and comprehensively enhance regulatory capabilities.
