Fox and YouTube TV reached a last-minute short-term extension agreement on Wednesday local time, barely avoiding Fox's content being blocked on the platform. Google-owned YouTube stated in a blog post published on the specified deadline, "We have reached a short-term extension agreement with Fox to prevent disruption to YouTube TV subscribers while we continue to work towards a new agreement." Both Fox and YouTube did not specify how long this "short-term" extension agreement is valid for. If an agreement is not reached, Fox's news, business, entertainment, and sports programs, as well as programs from their local television stations, will disappear from YouTube TV. Fox, FS1, Big Ten Network, and Fox News Channel will no longer be available on this Google-owned platform.
