Alphabet plans to invest an additional $9 billion in Virginia by 2026 to expand its cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in a post on the X platform on Wednesday, "This funding will be used to build a new data center in Chesterfield County, and expand existing campuses in Loudoun County and Prince William County." The company added in a blog post that it will "provide free AI and job training skills for Virginians."
