Bay Area cross-border tourism hits record high, with a 25% increase in outbound and inbound flows at Gongbei Port during the summer.

With the start of the school season approaching, the popularity of cross-border travel during the summer vacation has gradually decreased. According to the statistics from the Gongbei Immigration Border Inspection Station of Zhuhai General Station, since July 1st, the station has inspected more than 20 million inbound and outbound personnel, with more than 4.4 million of them being tourists. This represents an increase of over 25% compared to the same period in 2024, making this summer vacation the peak of cross-border tourism in the past five years.
