34 Colombian soldiers abducted

Colombia's Defense Minister Pedro Sanchez said on social media on the 26th that 34 Colombian soldiers were kidnapped by unidentified individuals after a military operation against anti-government armed groups on the 24th. Sanchez stated that the kidnappers were dressed in civilian clothing and demanded the body of an armed member who died during the operation. The identities of these individuals are still under investigation. Colombia has requested support from the United Nations and other international organizations to release all the kidnapped soldiers immediately.
