On August 27, Vice Minister of Commerce Sheng Qiuping pointed out at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that the main problem of service consumption in China is the insufficient supply of high-quality services. The Ministry of Commerce is focusing on increasing the supply of high-quality services through "internal opening and external opening". It is promoting comprehensive pilot demonstrations for the expansion of the service industry opening, expanding the opening pilot projects in the fields of telecommunications, healthcare, and education, including more service consumption areas in the encouraged foreign investment industries catalog, promoting reform and innovation in the service consumption field, stimulating the vitality of various business entities, expanding the co-construction of diversified services such as health, elderly care, childcare, and household services, and better meeting the consumption needs of the people.
