Zhiguang Electric's high-voltage shore power system promotes the green upgrade of Dalian Port.
On August 23rd, the shore power system project at Pier 2 of Dalian Port Dagang Port Area, undertaken by Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd., successfully completed its first ship-to-shore power supply task. This marks the official capability of the berth to provide shore power for cruise ships, demonstrating Zhiguang Electric's strength in system integration and rapid delivery in the field of high-voltage frequency conversion shore power. This project is an important initiative to implement the Ministry of Transport's "Action Plan for Demonstrating and Promoting the Use of Shore Power for International Container Ships and Cruise Ships at Berth". The system uses high-voltage AC-DC-AC frequency conversion technology, with an output capacity of up to 16MVA, supporting both 6.6kV/60Hz and 11kV/60Hz dual voltage standards, capable of meeting the electrical needs of large cruise ships worldwide. This system can effectively replace ship auxiliary generators, significantly reducing carbon emissions and noise pollution.
