Beijing's five districts have launched a level one flood prevention response.
On the 26th at 16:00, Beijing issued an orange rainstorm warning signal and activated a level 2 flood control emergency response for the entire city. Mentougou, Fangshan, Changping, Huairou, Yanqing and other 5 districts also activated a level 1 flood control emergency response. By 19:00, a total of 58,000 people were relocated in the city, 352 mountain flood channels were closed, 165 scenic spots were closed, 4,682 homestays, 256 camping sites, and 3,259 construction sites were suspended. Currently, satellite phones in mountainous areas are being tested, communication drones are being deployed in Mentougou, Fangshan, Miyun, Huairou, Yanqing and other districts; large machinery such as excavators, loaders, forklifts, and transport vehicles are being pre-positioned in risky villages, and nearly 200,000 people are on duty to be ready to respond to heavy rain at any time. Residents in flood control emergency response areas are advised not to go out unless necessary.
