Jiangsu Guoxin: Guoxin Shazhou Second 1,000,000 Kilowatt Unit Put into Operation

Jiangsu Guoxin announced that its holding subsidiary, Jiangsu Guoxin Shazhou Power Generation Co., Ltd., has successfully completed a 168-hour full-load trial operation of the second 1 million kilowatt ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation unit on August 26, 2025, and officially started operation. The first 1 million kilowatt unit of Guoxin Shazhou was put into operation on July 8, 2025. With this, the expansion project of the 21 million kilowatt units at Guoxin Shazhou has completed "double commissioning". After the project is put into operation, the generated electricity will be mainly consumed locally in the Suzhou area, effectively alleviating the tension of peak electricity demand in the region. The project follows the flexible and flexible requirements of the new power system construction, and is constructed with 20% of the most advanced peak shaving capacity. In addition to quickly responding to changes in the power grid load demand, it will provide adjustment capacity for the green power transmission from outside the province and the new energy generation within the province in the Suzhou area, helping optimize the carbon reduction in the energy supply structure of Jiangsu Province.
