"Swordfish" is approaching, the Ministry of Transport has initiated a level three response to typhoons and heavy rain.
On August 24th, the Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a typhoon orange alert and a heavy rain yellow alert. Typhoon No. 13, "Jianyu", strengthened to typhoon level in the early hours of the 24th and is expected to make landfall along the coast of Lingshui to Ledong in Hainan in the afternoon to evening of the 24th. It may also pass through the waters near the southern part of Hainan Island and gradually move towards the central and northern coastal areas of Vietnam. From 8:00 on the 24th to 8:00 on the 25th, parts of Hainan Island, the southwest coast of Guangdong, the south coast of Guangxi, the northwest of Yunnan, the western and northern Sichuan Basin, the central and southern Henan, the northern Anhui, the northern Jiangsu, the central Shandong, the eastern Liaoning, the eastern Jilin, and along the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang are expected to experience heavy to torrential rain. Among them, parts of the central and southern Hainan Island, the western Sichuan Basin, the northeastern Liaoning, the southeastern Jilin, and other areas are expected to experience heavy rain, while the southeastern part of Hainan Island and other areas may face localized extremely heavy rain. The Ministry of Transport has initiated a level three response for typhoon defense and a level three response for heavy rain defense.
