Yu Yuan Tan Tian: For internet platform competition, it is not about stopping but rather regulating.
On August 23rd, three departments jointly released a document related to internet platforms called the "Internet Platform Pricing Behavior Rules". Tan Zhu learned that the document took more than two years from drafting to the current public solicitation of opinions, during which relevant platforms were consulted multiple times. It was not specifically targeting the "food delivery battle". In fact, the document does not contain any statement about stopping subsidies, it only requires platforms to publicly disclose the rules of subsidy promotion activities and prohibits false advertising and exaggeration of subsidy amounts.
