Shanghai will add a high-speed rail line directly to Hangzhou with a total investment exceeding 67 billion yuan.

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the feasibility study report for the construction of a high-speed railway from Shanghai to Hangzhou, with a total length of approximately 223.8 kilometers and a total investment of around 67.097 billion yuan. The construction of this project is of great significance in improving the transportation capacity of the Shanghai-Hangzhou corridor, supporting the implementation of the integrated development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta region, and promoting regional economic and social development.
