The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has dispatched working groups to visit 18 provinces to conduct research and provide guidance on autumn grain production and disaster prevention and reduction.
According to the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as the end of summer approaches, autumn grain production has entered a critical period for yield formation. In accordance with the spirit of the video conference on autumn grain production and agricultural disaster prevention, reduction, and relief, and the requirements of the work plan for ensuring a bumper harvest of autumn grain, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, together with the National Agricultural Technology Center and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Inspection Institute, have recently dispatched 8 work teams to 18 key provinces and disaster-prone areas to carry out concentrated research and guidance on autumn grain production and disaster prevention.
First, we will focus on field management of autumn grain by conducting on-site inspections of seedling conditions, soil moisture conditions, and pest and disease conditions, and providing guidance on implementing field management measures according to local conditions. Second, we will strengthen disaster prevention and mitigation by evaluating the impact of disasters on autumn grain production, and providing guidance on preventing natural disasters and pest infestations.
Third, we will promote large-scale yield increase by implementing key measures by region and crop to promote "four integrations." Fourth, we will implement the "one spray, multiple promotion" strategy and urge all regions to take advantage of the window period to carry out spraying operations to improve quality and efficiency.
