Since the beginning of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the national product quality and safety situation has remained stable, with 106 types of products in 17 major categories included in the CCC management.
At the "High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" themed press conference held today by the State Council Information Office, a relevant official from the State Administration for Market Regulation introduced, "Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the overall situation of national product quality and safety has been generally stable. Market supervision departments have fully played their role in ensuring industrial product production licenses and mandatory product certification access, strengthening the governance of product quality and safety at the source. In May 2024, the State Council issued a decision to implement production licenses for cold-rolled ribbed steel bars, safety helmets, and 6 other products. After the adjustment, the number of products under production license management increased to 27 varieties in 14 categories. Fifteen products, including lithium batteries for electric bicycles, have been included in the CCC certification management, with a total of 106 types in the CCC directory. At the same time, by promulgating regulations on the implementation of quality and safety responsibilities of industrial product production and sales units, guiding production and sales units to implement list-style control of quality and safety risks, effectively solving issues such as lack of understanding, ability, and enforcement in controlling product quality and safety risks for enterprises. Supervisory spot checks were conducted on over 1.33 million companies and more than 2.85 million batches of products. Efforts to recall defective products have been continuously intensified, with a total recall of 36.47 million vehicles and 34.67 million consumer goods.
