This afternoon, the Department of Natural Resources of Qinghai Province and the Qinghai Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly issued an orange warning for geological disaster meteorological risks. Based on the actual precipitation in the past 48 hours and the future 24-hour precipitation forecast, combined with the propensity for geological disasters, from 8 p.m. on August 21, 2025 to 8 p.m. on August 22, 2025: the geological disaster meteorological risk warning level in Xining City's Huangzhong District, Datong County, Huzhu County in Haidong City and other areas is level II, with a high risk of geological disasters caused by meteorological factors; other areas in Xining City, other areas in Haidong City, Menyuan County and Qilian County in Haibei Prefecture, Guide County in Hainan Prefecture, Tongren City, Jianzha County, and Zeku County in Huangnan Prefecture, Jiuzhi County and Banma County in Golog Prefecture are level III, with a higher risk of geological disasters caused by meteorological factors. Please pay close attention to the precipitation situation in conjunction with the warning information, and take preventive measures for geological disaster prevention, such as evacuating threatened populations in the warning areas.
