The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened down 0.40%, the S&P 500 Index fell 0.31%, and the Nasdaq fell 0.30%.

Walmart fell by 3%, despite its quarterly sales exceeding Wall Street expectations, profits did not meet expectations. This is the first quarter since May 2022 that the retailer has not met profit expectations. Miniso's US stocks rose by over 8%, exceeding expectations for the second quarter performance. Palantir saw a slight increase of 0.1%, after six consecutive trading days of decline. CoreWeave's US stocks rose by over 1%, with Simply Wall St. reporting a passive equity stake of 5.4% in CoreWeave.
