According to a press release issued by Antegy (ETR.US) on Wednesday, the Louisiana Public Utilities Regulatory Agency has approved its plan to build three new natural gas power plants to provide power to Meta's (META.US) largest data center. This latest and largest data center by Meta is located in rural Louisiana and spans 4 million square feet (approximately 370,000 square meters), aiming to support the company's most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) models. The annual power consumption is estimated to reach up to 5 gigawatts when running at full capacity.
