A Boeing aircraft from the United States was delivered abroad after being modified in Yichang.

On August 14, near Yichang Three Gorges International Airport, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the American aircraft leasing company World Star Aviation, after completing "pax-to-cargo" maintenance at Bedek Lingyun Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd., successfully cleared customs to leave the country. This is the first foreign aircraft to undergo "offshore bonded maintenance" in our province this year. As the only MRO enterprise in the central region capable of conducting civil aviation aircraft pax-to-cargo operations, Bedek Lingyun has repaired over 500 aircraft since its establishment in 2016, including Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft. Hu Qiushi, chairman of Bedek Lingyun, stated that the maintenance period of the aircraft involved in this departure lasted nearly two years, and more than 370 imported maintenance materials were saved through bonded maintenance accounts, saving more than 9 million yuan in taxes.
