The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow high-temperature warning at 06:00 on August 20th.

It is expected that daytime temperatures in parts of the Huanghuai region, Jianghuai, Jianghan, northern parts of Jiangnan, southern Shaanxi and Guanzhong region, Sichuan Basin, and other areas will reach 35 to 39 degrees Celsius on August 20th. In some areas, such as Guanzhong in Shaanxi, central parts of Henan, central and southwestern parts of Shandong, and central-western parts of Zhejiang, local temperatures could exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
