The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs deploys major pest and disease control work in the middle and late stages of autumn crops.

On the 19th, the Crop Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, together with the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, held a national on-site meeting on the prevention and control of major diseases and insect pests in the middle and late stages of autumn grain crops in Nanning, Guangxi. The meeting organized the main producing provinces to observe the on-site green control operations of major diseases and insect pests, invited industry experts to explain the occurrence patterns of diseases and insect pests in rice and corn and green control technologies, and mobilized arrangements for the prevention and control of major diseases and insect pests in autumn grain crops. The meeting emphasized the need to adhere to the principles of "government leadership, local responsibility, and joint prevention and control", strengthen local responsibilities, increase overall coordination efforts, and ensure the effectiveness of disease and pest control. It is necessary to intensify monitoring and early warning efforts, strictly implement the weekly reports on the prevention and control of outbreaks of major diseases and pests, report new or sudden outbreaks of diseases and pests in a timely manner, and improve the targeted and precise nature of prevention and control.
