On August 19th, BHP announced its results for the 2025 fiscal year (from July 2024 to June 2025), with a attributable profit of $9.02 billion, an increase of 14% compared to the previous year's $7.9 billion. However, the adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) decreased by 10% to $26 billion. The increase in copper prices was not enough to offset the impact of falling iron ore and coal prices, leading to a 26% decrease in adjusted attributable profit to $10.2 billion. Annual revenue also decreased by 8% from $55.7 billion to $51.3 billion compared to the previous year.
