At the sub-forum of the China International Futures Forum opened to the outside world in 2025, the person in charge of the China Futures Association stated in his speech that in recent years, China's futures market has actively explored the opening up to the outside world, and the level of market internationalization has gradually increased. In terms of introducing foreign elements, since the listing of the first futures variety, crude oil futures, in 2018, a comprehensive system of open products covering energy, metals, agricultural products, shipping, and other fields has been formed. By the end of July 2025, there were a total of 24 specific varieties. In addition, after the China Securities Regulatory Commission completely lifted the foreign shareholding restrictions on futures companies, futures companies such as J.P. Morgan Futures, UBS Futures, and Morgan Stanley Futures have achieved 100% foreign ownership.
