The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has launched a level four flood control emergency response in Liaoning Province.

According to the meteorological department forecast, heavy rain to torrential rain will occur in some areas of the southeast of Liaoning Province from August 19th to 20th, with locally heavy rainfall and individual townships receiving more than 250 millimeters of rainfall. According to the "National Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan" and relevant regulations, the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters initiated a level four flood control emergency response for Liaoning Province at 12:00 on August 19th.
