According to the financial information app Hexun Finance, data from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association shows that in July 2025, China produced 79.66 million tons of crude steel, a decrease of 4.0% year on year, with a daily production of 2.5697 million tons, a decrease of 7.3% from the previous month; produced 70.8 million tons of pig iron, a decrease of 1.4% year on year, with a daily production of 2.2839 million tons, a decrease of 4.7% from the previous month; produced 122.95 million tons of steel, an increase of 6.4% year on year, with a daily production of 3.9661 million tons, a decrease of 6.9% from the previous month; from January to July, China accumulated a total production of 594 million tons of crude steel, a decrease of 3.1% year on year, with a total daily production of 2.8041 million tons; produced 506 million tons of pig iron, a decrease of 1.3% year on year, with a total daily production of 2.386 million tons; produced 860 million tons of steel, an increase of 5.1% year on year, with a total daily production of 4.0588 million tons.
