The CEO salaries of companies in the FTSE 100 index in the UK have hit a historical high for the third consecutive year. According to research from the think tank "High Pay Centre", the median pay for CEOs of the 100 largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange reached 4.6 million pounds, which is 122 times the salary of the average full-time worker in the UK. However, compared to the median CEO pay of companies in the S&P 500 index, these numbers pale in comparison. Luke Hildyard, director of the High Pay Centre, stated: "These data will fuel a growing sense that low and middle-income earners are not getting a fair share of the wealth created by their work."
