Air Canada announced on the 17th local time that they plan to resume flight operations that evening. Due to Air Canada's implementation of a flight suspension and operation pause at 1:30 AM on August 16th, aircraft and crew members need to reschedule flight schedules. The first batch of flights to be resumed by Air Canada will take off on the evening of the 17th, but Air Canada expects it will take several days to fully resume normal operations. Some flights will be canceled in the next seven to ten days until the flight schedule is reconfirmed.
