The 18th West China Health Industry Ecology Conference was held in Boao, Hainan from August 16th to 21st with the theme of "Fast Transformation Crossing the New Cycle - Reconstruction of Growth Momentum and Evolution of Industrial Ecology". Yu Dechao, founder, chairman of the board, and chief executive officer of Xinda Biopharmaceutical Group, attended and gave a speech. Yu Dechao pointed out that the innovative drug industry is currently facing three challenges: there needs to be new breakthroughs in target original innovation at the scientific level; the contradiction between high R&D costs and the pressure of controlling innovative drug medical insurance is prominent at the commercial level; and the internationalization of products is a long way off as the average sales of outbound products are low at the global level.
