Sinobiopharma's Yu Dechao: China's innovative drugs need to overcome three major obstacles to go global.

The 18th Western Pharmaceutical Association was held in Boao, Hainan from August 16th to 21st, with the theme of "Fast Transformation, Crossing the New Cycle- Reconstruction of Growth Engine and Evolution of Industrial Ecology". Yudechao, founder, chairman of the board, and CEO of Xinda Biopharmaceutical Group, attended and gave a speech. Yudechao pointed out that the innovative drug industry is currently facing three challenges: in terms of scientific dimension, there needs to be new breakthroughs in original target innovation; in terms of business dimension, high research and development costs, and the contradiction between cost control of innovative drugs and medical insurance is prominent; in terms of global dimension, the median sales of overseas products are low, and internationalization still has a long way to go.
