New breakthrough in brain-computer interface technology, leading concept, with a year-on-year increase of over 2.3 times.
According to Science and Technology Daily, scientists have recently made a major breakthrough in the field of brain-computer interfaces. For the first time, they have identified and decoded brain activity related to "inner speech" - the silent monologue in people's minds, with an accuracy rate of up to 74%. This groundbreaking research, led by a team from Stanford University in the United States, was published on August 14th in the journal "Cell," opening up a new path to help severely speech-impaired patients rebuild their natural communication abilities. The application prospects of brain-computer interface technology are vast. According to McKinsey's estimates, the potential market size for global medical applications of brain-computer interfaces is expected to reach $40 billion to $145 billion between 2030 and 2040. Data from the CCID Research Institute shows that by 2024, China's brain-computer interface market size has reached 3.2 billion yuan, and is expected to exceed 5.5 billion yuan by 2027. In the A-share market, there are close to 30 concept stocks related to brain-computer interfaces. According to Securities TimesData Bao statistics, as of the close of August 15, the average increase in concept stocks related to brain-computer interfaces this year is 48.67%.
