The Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, Cui Dongshu, stated in a document on August 14 that the total sales of narrow passenger cars in January-July 2025 reached 15.55 million units, with an accumulated growth rate of 13%; the total sales of narrow passenger cars in July was 2.24 million units, a year-on-year increase of 14%. In recent years, the technology innovation of new energy vehicles and the competitiveness of new products have continued to grow, while the launch of new fuel vehicles has been weak. After the Spring Festival in 2025, the rapid growth of new energy vehicles brought an increase of 330,000 units in June and 270,000 units in July, driving the strong development of the auto market.
