Li Bin: NIO's G318 Sichuan-Tibet charging and battery swapping infrastructure has undergone a triple upgrade, allowing all users to swap batteries throughout their entire journey to Mount Everest.

On August 16th, William Li, chairman of NIO, traveled from Lhasa to Mount Everest by changing batteries along the way. He announced during a live broadcast that from today, all NIO and Dianza users can change batteries all the way to Mount Everest. Starting in September 2018, charging stations were set up on the G318 Sichuan-Tibet line, and in December 2020, the NIO G318 Sichuan-Tibet charging route was officially opened, becoming the first car company in the country to open the G318 Sichuan-Tibet charging route. In June 2024, the NIO G318 Sichuan-Tibet supercharging route from Chengdu to Lhasa officially opened. On August 16, 2025, the NIO G318 Sichuan-Tibet battery swapping route was fully opened.
