CSRC Discloses Second Quarter Securities Firm Complaint Handling Situation: Brokerage Business Complaints Account for 84%, Five Types of Problems are Under Attention

The China Securities Industry Association recently disclosed the second quarter complaint handling situation within the industry. The data shows that in the second quarter of 2025, complaints received by securities firms were mainly concentrated in brokerage services, accounting for 84%. According to the classification of business types, complaints related to brokerage services mainly focused on service and fee-related complaints, as well as account and permission opening complaints, totaling over sixty percent. Among them, service and fee-related complaints were mainly related to commission adjustments and various tax issues, while account and permission-related complaints were mainly about problems with account opening, transfers, and closures. Investor complaints about commissions and fees mainly reflected issues such as unclear disclosure at account opening, unclear display on trading software, unfulfilled verbal promises, delays in processing commission adjustment requests, and mismatches between commission and services.
