On August 13, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a routine press conference. A reporter asked about the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) administration's obstruction of mainland Chinese cars entering Taiwan for sale. In response, spokesperson Zhu Fenglian stated that mainland products, including new energy vehicles, are welcomed by global consumers for their innovative technology and excellent performance. Strengthening cooperation between the two sides in related fields is a real benefit for the people and industry in Taiwan. The DPP administration, for its own selfish interests, disregards the island's people's expectations for high-quality products and the industry's calls to strengthen cross-strait industrial cooperation. Under the guise of "security," they are preventing Taiwanese compatriots from purchasing and using high-quality mainland products, actively suppressing economic exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. This backward behavior harms the rights and interests of businesses and consumers on both sides of the strait, and damages and worsens the market and business environment in Taiwan.
