The Democratic Progressive Party authorities claim to investigate 16 mainland companies. The Taiwan Affairs Office: Obeying the US and frequently engaging in actions that undermine economic cooperation between the two sides.
On August 13th, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a routine press conference. A reporter asked: The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities claimed that they are investigating 16 mainland companies suspected of illegally recruiting engineers and operating offices in Taiwan without official approval. What is your comment on this? Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian said that the DPP authorities only care about their own party's interests. They are submissive and obsequious in tariff negotiations with the United States, do not care about how domestic companies can survive facing high tariffs, do not make efforts to research how to deal with tariff bullying, but are deliberate and frequent in promoting "decoupling" and undermining economic cooperation across the strait. These politically motivated actions are unpopular and will only harm Taiwan's business environment, limiting Taiwan's economic development space.
