According to the Wise Finance APP, Japan will launch an anti-dumping investigation on some steel products from China and South Korea, which is the latest measure taken by the country to protect domestic producers and respond to import shocks. Japan's Ministry of Trade and Finance said in a statement on Wednesday that the investigation is expected to be completed within a year and will focus on the flow of hot-dip galvanized coils and strips. In April of this year, four companies including Nippon Steel and Kobe Steel applied for the investigation. The Japanese Ministry of Trade and Finance stated that they will provide an opportunity for relevant parties, including suppliers from South Korea and China, to provide evidence, and then decide whether to impose tariffs.
