US CPI Outlook: Wells Fargo predicts inflation will rebound slightly
Fuguo Bank stated that the U.S. CPI data will further indicate that higher tariffs have pushed prices up. The bank wrote, "We are still in the early stages of the price adjustment process, and it is not yet clear how higher import tariffs will ultimately be distributed among end customers, domestic sellers, and foreign exporters. Meanwhile, consumer fatigue is increasing, making it increasingly difficult to raise prices overall." Looking ahead, Fuguo Bank expects that inflation will rise in the second half of this year, but not by a large amount. Core CPI and core PCE price index are expected to return to around 3% in the fourth quarter.
