On August 12, the Market Supervision Administration of Hailaer District in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia, released a notification on the handling of the case of illegal operation by Mengyuan Niumenyan Traditional Shuan Hotpot Restaurant in Hailaer District: At around 6 pm on August 1, 2025, a netizen posted a short video reflecting that Mengyuan Niumenyan Traditional Shuan Hotpot Restaurant in Hailaer District was suspected of "short weight" and having a "two-tiered menu" issue. The Market Supervision Administration of Hailaer District opened a case on August 2 to investigate the restaurant, and on August 4, served the "Administrative Penalty Notice" to inform the parties of their rights. The parties did not exercise their right to statement and defense or submit a hearing request within the legal time limit. On August 12, 2025, the Market Supervision Administration of Hailaer District, based on relevant regulations such as the Price Law of the People's Republic of China and the Administrative Penalty Regulations on Price Violations, made an "Administrative Penalty Decision" on the illegal behavior of the parties, using false price methods to deceive consumers into transactions, imposing a warning and a fine of 100,000 yuan on the parties. The parties have already paid the fine.
