Germany investigates suspicions of manipulation in the natural gas market, which may lead to an increase in pressure on energy costs.

"According to the Wise Finance APP, the German Federal Network Agency is currently investigating a suspected natural gas market manipulation incident and has warned that this event may lead to higher consumer energy expenses. The agency revealed through email that the investigation is focusing on approximately 60 million euros (approximately 69.9 million US dollars) in abnormal costs incurred between mid-May and mid-July 2025, which significantly differ from the actual amount of fuel required in the natural gas conversion process."
