The reporter learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that on August 9, heavy to torrential rain fell in some areas of central Sichuan, western and northern Hubei, central and southern Henan, central Anhui, northern and central Jiangsu, Shandong Peninsula, central and northwest Heilongjiang, causing flooding in the Three Daowulong Gully, a tributary of the Hulan River in Heilongjiang Province. Currently, the Ministry of Water Resources has maintained a level IV emergency response for flood defense in Beijing, Hebei, Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, and other provinces and regions. The Ministry of Water Resources task force is on the frontlines in Gansu providing assistance and guidance for emergency rescue operations.
