On August 9th, Guangzhou held a video conference on the prevention and control of flood, mosquito-borne infectious diseases, and epidemic situations to further deploy, promote, and implement the work of flood prevention and disaster relief as well as the prevention and control of dengue fever. Guo Yonghang, the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, chaired the meeting and emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on flood prevention and disaster relief, and epidemic prevention and control. It is necessary to implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, the provincial Party committee, and the provincial government, improve political positions, shoulder political responsibilities, adhere to the work main line of "boosting the economy, ensuring safety, hosting the National Games, and improving quality", and strengthen the sense of responsibility for safety. The meeting called for a greater effort to enhance safety precautions in order to continue to consolidate and expand the positive momentum of economic recovery, and create a safe and stable environment to achieve the annual target tasks.
