According to the report from the Portuguese news agency Lusa, two small cars collided head-on in the early hours of the 9th in the southern town of Vila Nova de Tires, Portugal, resulting in 6 deaths and the interruption of traffic on the road. The report stated that one of the cars caught fire after the collision, and all 5 people inside the car died. The driver of the other car also died in the accident. The Portuguese National Emergency and Civil Defense Authority said the accident occurred around 2 am. After the vehicle caught fire, the flames spread to the roadside bushes. Local firefighters and vehicles were deployed for rescue operations, and the large fire has now been extinguished.
