Hainan adjusts rules for part of the trade-in program for consumer goods
The Department of Commerce of Hainan Province issued a notice on August 8th, stating that the rules for the trade-in of old appliances, mobile phones, digital products, and home furnishings will be adjusted starting from August 9th. According to the latest unified deployment requirements for the trade-in of old consumer goods at the national level, in order to make subsidy funds more "timely" and "equitable" in terms of use, it has been decided after research to adjust the rules for the trade-in of old appliances, mobile phones, digital products, and home furnishings in Hainan Province in 2025. The policy adjustment will be implemented from August 9th, 2025 to December 31st, 2025. Considering "timeliness" and "equitability", subsidies for the trade-in of appliances, mobile phones, digital products, and home furnishings will be allocated weekly, starting every Saturday and ending every Friday, with funds being used on a "first come, first served" basis. Customers who make purchases first will enjoy the subsidy, and once the weekly subsidy fund limit is reached, the subsidy for that week will stop.
