The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has launched a Level Four flood prevention emergency response for the provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, and Chongqing, sending out work teams to assist in guiding flood prevention work.

According to the meteorological department's forecast, from August 9 to 13, there will be heavy rainfall in areas such as the Jianghan and Jianghuai regions, with some areas in Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui, and Jiangsu experiencing heavy or torrential rain. The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow alert for heavy rain at 10:00 on August 9. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan, the National Flood Control and Drought Relief headquarters decided to initiate a level four flood control emergency response for Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, and Chongqing at 15:00 on August 9. The National Flood Control and Drought Relief headquarters office sent a working group to Anhui and Hubei to assist and guide flood control work on the front line.
