Today, the Ministry of Water Resources continues to conduct flood prevention consultations, analyze and assess the current rainfall and flood development situation, and provide full support for emergency rescue of flash floods in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. High-resolution satellite remote sensing monitoring is carried out on local flash flood risk points, and monitoring information is promptly provided to the front line of emergency rescue. A hydrological monitoring team is dispatched, using drones equipped with infrared devices to assist in locating missing persons. Remote sensing monitoring of the natural flood retention situation of local small and medium-sized reservoirs is conducted to identify hidden risks and prevent secondary disasters caused by dam breaks. Investigation is conducted on the damage to rural water supply projects, and prompt repair measures are taken to ensure the safety of drinking water for the people. Currently, the working group of the Ministry of Water Resources has rushed to the scene to carry out flash flood analysis work and provide decision-making support for subsequent flash flood defense.
