Shaanxi issues red alert for flash floods.

On August 9th at 10:30, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources, in conjunction with the Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau, issued the 53rd Mountain Flood Meteorological Risk Warning. It is predicted that from 11:00 on the 9th to 11:00 on the 10th, there is a high possibility of mountain flood disasters occurring in counties such as Shannan and Shanyang in Shangluo City. There is a large possibility of mountain flood disasters in counties such as Ningqiang and Luoyang in Hanzhong City. In addition, counties such as Ziyang, Xunyang, Baihe, Danfeng, and Zhen'an in Ankang City are at risk of mountain flood disasters. There is a relatively high possibility of mountain flood disasters in counties such as Nanzheng, Chenggu, Yangxian, Xixiang, Mian, Zhenba, and Foping in Hanzhong City; Hanyin, Shiquan, Ningshan, Langao, Pingli, Zhenping in Ankang City; and Shangzhou, Zhashui in Shangluo City. There is a possibility of mountain flood disasters in Taibai County in Baoji City, Liuba County in Hanzhong City, and Luonan County in Shangluo City. All local departments are urged to implement defense responsibilities, closely monitor dangerous areas and areas with heavy rainfall, strengthen on-site monitoring and early warning, and make preparations for evacuation and prevention in advance.
