In our country, the autumn grain production accounts for three quarters of the annual grain production. At the beginning of autumn, the autumn grain enters a key period for production, as well as a period of frequent natural disasters. The main production areas are implementing specific measures, strengthening field management, and making every effort to achieve a good harvest of autumn grain. This year, the autumn grain area in our country has remained stable compared to last year. Currently, in the main rice and corn producing areas of the Northeast, the rice and corn are in the grain-filling stage, while the soybeans are forming pods and swelling. In the Beidahuang Junchuan Farm in Heilongjiang, the field meteorological monitoring station is monitoring soil moisture and other data 24 hours a day. The data is uploaded in real-time through the Internet of Things, and accurate field management plans are promptly formulated by the agricultural management department. The mid-season rice in the southern region is entering the heading stage, while the late-season rice planting is nearing completion. In recent days, more than 420,000 mu of late-season rice in Yuanjiang, Hunan has entered a critical period for pest control. The local government has set up four digital pest monitoring stations and combined them with multi-spectral analysis by plant protection drones to achieve precise and green pest control strategies for each field. The latest agricultural situation report by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that since the beginning of summer, agricultural disasters have been characterized by "flooding in the north and south with drought in the middle", with some areas experiencing relatively severe conditions, but overall manageable. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has formulated 34 disaster prevention and mitigation measures tailored to different regions, disaster types, and crops to ensure a bountiful autumn grain harvest. Currently, the growth and management of autumn grain in most areas is progressing smoothly.
