National Security Department: Overseas institutions collecting sensitive information under the guise of interviews
The national security agency discovered that some overseas consulting agencies with complex backgrounds have been collecting sensitive information in key industries in China under the guise of "professional interviews", providing precise "targeting" for foreign forces to sanction our high-tech enterprises, threatening the survival and development of these enterprises, and endangering national security. After receiving reports from the public, the national security agency found that Wang, a technical personnel from a leading company in a key industry, had repeatedly participated in so-called "professional interviews" with domestic and foreign consulting agencies by phone after leaving his previous job, disclosing important sensitive information of his former employer in exchange for payment. Through investigation, it was revealed that a certain overseas consulting agency with a complex background, through its subsidiary in China, conducted "investigative consulting" on Wang's former employer because Wang was a key technical personnel of the company before he left. Tempted by high consulting fees, Wang failed to uphold principles and accepted the invitation for a "professional interview", resulting in the leakage of sensitive information. With sufficient evidence in hand, the national security agency took decisive measures to prevent the situation from escalating further, and legal sanctions await Wang.
