Gansu Province initiates a three-level emergency response for provincial natural disaster relief.

Starting from 8 p.m. on August 7th, there have been short-term heavy rainfalls in some areas of Gansu Province, with the maximum precipitation reaching 197.0mm, leading to floods and other disasters. As of 3:30 p.m. on August 8th, the disaster has caused 10 deaths and 33 people are missing. In response to this disaster, the Provincial Committee on Disaster Reduction and Relief decided to initiate a level three emergency response for natural disasters at 4:30 p.m. on August 8th. Relevant areas and departments are requested to carry out disaster prevention and relief work according to their respective responsibilities.
