Lanzhou has initiated a Level One emergency response for flood control.

The Water Resources Department of Gansu Province has decided to adjust the flood defense emergency response in Lanzhou from Level III to Level I starting from 18:00 on the 8th. The water authorities of Lanzhou City and Yuzhong County will focus on the prevention and defense of floods in medium and small rivers, mountain torrents, and embankment inspections, strengthen risk forecasting and early warning, intensify the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers, strengthen duty and vigilance, make every effort to minimize casualties, and ensure the safety of the people's lives.
