Analysts at Bernstein Company wrote in a research report that Swiss watch manufacturers may implement another round of price increases to offset the impact of President Trump's tariffs. Switzerland imposes a 39% tariff on imported goods from the United States, higher than the initially set 31% tariff. Bernstein cited data from the Geneva-based Digital Luxury Group, stating that about one-fifth of Swiss watch brands' sales come from the United States. Analysts said that this move will trigger more price increases, but demand for Swiss luxury watches in the United States remains strong. Bernstein believes that Swatch Group will be the company most affected by the tariffs, as it has a significant exposure in the US market. They said that Richemont Group seems to be less affected, but attention should be paid to Cartier.
